The Croatian immunological society congratulates Prof. Bojan Polić for his election as President Elect of the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS).
This means that in the coming three years he will be the right hand of the incoming president Frederica Sallusto and at ECI 2024 he will take the role of President of EFIS, an organization that consists of 35 immunological societies, representing over 14.000 researchers. Prof. Polić was elected with with 38 votes in favor vs 9 votes for his opponent.
Of course, this is a great achievement of Bojan, but in addition it is an accomplishment for HID as it solidly positions Croatian immunology on the European map. We hope that this will provide new opportunities for our society members in Europe.
